Film-makers have profiled the businesses of four eastern region farmers in preparation for the Norfolk Farming Conference.

Essex farmer Guy Smith will chair the event

Richard Garrod, Alastair Kerr, Rob Mutimer and Ed Wharton have seen LandSkills East film their forward-looking farm businesses for the event on 25 February at the John Innes Centre, Norwich.

The four men will take to the stage for an interactive discussion about their wide variety of production and diversification, including traditional crops, bird feed, blackcurrants, beef and farm shops.

Essex farmer Guy Smith will chair the conference for the third year running.

He said: “Just as a new decade concentrates the mind, so too does an election year and so in the afternoon we have assembled a pack – or perhaps a quarry – of politicians for a question time session.”

Organised by Anglia Farmers, Norfolk County Council and Shaping Norfolk’s Future, the annual event is sponsored by Brown & Co, Lovewell Blake, Birketts LLP, NatWest and LandSkills East.
