Guide highlights combinable crop varieties

PLANT breeder Nickerson has published a series of technical and marketing guides for seven of its winter wheat varieties.

The guides cover Alchemy, Edmunds, Einstein, Invicta, Panorama, Sahara and Solstice winter wheats. Guides for Cassata and Retriever winter barley and Emerson hybrid winter oilseed rape have also been published.

The pocket-sized publications contain review each variety, summarise its characteristics. The guides include like-for-like comparisons with other varieties in the same market sector, highlighting yield potential and soil type suitability.

Details are provided for key agronomic characteristics, including straw height, stiffness and ripening date. Resistance to key diseases, grain quality, end-market suitability and sowing date options are also included.
