What’s your favourite bit of kit?
36m 5000 litre Rogator sprayer

When did you buy it?

Where did you buy it?
Thurlow Nunn Standen

How many hours it has worked?
46,000 hours since March 2016

What makes it indispensable?
It’s constantly in use – for 70% of our nitrogen fertiliser and all pesticide applications.

Has it had any modifications?
It’s had a few dealer modifications, and hasn’t been without the occasional breakdown, but it is worked very hard and is repaired quickly and efficiently by TNS at Littleport.

What’s the best thing about it?
Productivity and performance, and cab comfort: it has a very high output and is easy to operate. It treads lightly despite its size.

Would you improve anything on the design?
The only change would be what will come anyway in the next machine in terms of improved cab design.

What will you do when it needs to be replaced?
It’s due for replacement in December 2020 so I’m currently demo-ing other machines. I’m not set on any particular make at the moment, but, based on the Rogator, it will be a hard act to follow.
