Rare opportunity to buy Essex farmland

Savills has launched to the market 71ha (175 acres) of land on the south-western outskirts of the village of Thaxted, Essex.

The land marks the start of a series of agricultural properties expected to be brought to the market in the area over the coming months.

It is currently farmed under arable rotation and has access directly onto B184 Dunmow Road or the B1051 Elsenham Road.

“This productive parcel of land would be a useful addition to a neighbouring landholding or alternatively could be converted to provide pony paddocks,” said Edward Rout, of Savills Bishops Stortford.

The land is Grade 2 and 3 Arable and is available to purchase as a whole or in up to five lots at a guide price of £1,195,000.

“With a real shortage of good quality agricultural land coming to the market in the past year, we expect the land to generate a good level of interest.”
