Savills brings Norfolk farm to market
A 212-hectare (523-acre) Norfolk farm is being offered for sale with a guide price in excess of £2.8 million.
Park Farm, Bylaugh, is located to the north-west of Norwich, in the Wensum Valley. Five miles north east of the market town of Dereham, it is offered for sale by Savills.
The Farm is available as a whole or in five lots with a guide price of £2,865,000 for the whole lot. It comprises 212.2ha (524.3 acres) of productive arable land, grassland and woodland next to the river Wensum.
The farm offers 138ha (340 acres) of arable land which is currently under a cereal, sugar beet and pig rotation and 40ha (99 acres) of marshes within an Environmentally Sensitive Area agreement.
The land boasts 2km of river frontage and full fishing rights; three existing cottages; potential for a new dwelling subject to planning permission; several general purpose buildings and woodland.
Irrigation is available for the majority of land.
“Park Farm offers a wonderful opportunity to purchase an idyllic working farm in a very pretty and sought after part of Norfolk,” said Christopher Miles, head of rural agency for Savills, Norwich.
“It’s rare to find a property with such a long stretch of river. We are anticipating a large amount of interest from both investors and local farmers. The possibility of a new dwelling could also be an appealing factor to a lifestyle buyer.”
