New-look sugar beet harvesters will be showcased by Vervaet at J Riley’s biennial working demonstration in mid-January.

The Norfolk demonstration will be held at Attlebridge by kind permission of H Jones (Farms) Ltd – building on the event’s reputation as a great day out and a good place to see the latest advances in sugar beet harvesting technology.

Available in the UK for more than 20 years, the Vervaet series continues to prove popular with farmers and contractors across all soil types. The full harvester range – including face-lifted models – will be in action at the demo.

New in the UK is the latest version of the Beet Eater 925 Evo nine-row harvester. It boasts an increased work rate and reduced soil damage from true one-wheel per track harvesting.

The 925 will be working alongside the Beet Eater 625 Evo high-output six-row machine. The Q-616, launched two years ago, has already proven itself as a highly-regarded replacement to the 617, and will also be working.

Also on show will be the latest version of the Hydro-Trike multipurpose carrier, which can be configured for muck spreading, applying slurry or digestate, lime spreading and a wide variety of other tasks.

Refreshments will be provided including the now famous hog roast which always goes down extremely well with visitors.

The field is located opposite the J Riley yard, with a post code of NR9 5ST. Signs will be in place on the day. The exact date in mid-January is yet to be confirmed but will be announced on the J Riley website at
