Soil Fertility Services Limited works hand-in-hand with farmers throughout the UK, with an aim to find biological farming solutions which are efficient and more effective, in order to build soil fertility and provide crop nutrition. This long-established company, based in Crimplesham, Norfolk, have 2 exciting new openings for somebody looking to kickstart or develop their career in farming.

They are looking for:

1 x Customer Services Assistant

This role will support the Soil Fertility Specialists and join the office-based team. As a Customer Services Assistant, you will be phoning up customers to keep in touch, dealing with customer queries, making appointments, following up leads, and keeping good records. You will be enthusiastic, with a good phone manner, a strong positive attitude, and enjoy speaking with people. Some knowledge of UK agriculture would be preferable but is not necessary, but you will be enthusiastic to learn about soil and crop health.

This position is permanent, with negotiable hours, and a salary based on experience.

1 x Field Agent

This role plays a key role in expansion plans as the Biological Agricultural Programme – otherwise known as Regenerative Farming – increases in popularity.

You will be person-centred, with an out-going personality, knowledge of mainstream agriculture, and have a strong desire to move away from chemical systems to a healthier biological approach to growing crops, with a possible qualification in FACTS. This is a physical job with an interest in soil and digging, sometimes in inclement weather, to explore rooting, soil structure, and health.

This position requires longer hours, visiting clients where necessary, with overnight stays, good organisation skills, and a willingness to contact clients and potential clients by telephone, progressing to having your own area and clients. In return you will receive whatever tools you need for the job: a company car, mobile phone, laptop, and uniform expenses. Salary is dependent on experience but in line with similar sales positions.
