At Plug&Cool, we’ve updated our Plug&Cool Outdoor underfloor cooling system to enhance its durability and versatility.
The base plate that locks into the manhole is now made from galvanised steel, with a fully perforated 150mm ring for excellent airflow to the pedestal. The solid base is interchangeable with other older cooling systems and will fit any manhole entry.
This means farmers who wish to upgrade to the Plug&Cool system can do so with no added building work – simply remove the previous base plate and replace it with the much sturdier version that locks into the existing manhole.
Pedestal cap
The existing 1m pedestal is unchanged in design but boasts an improved cap made from Polypropylene plastic. It fits easily onto the pedestal adaptor – and is resistant to condensation and rust, just like the 1m pedestal.
The added benefit is the versatility of the adaptor sleeve as farmers can remove the cap, slide a 2m top pipe onto the adaptor, and then use aluminium fans on the top pipe for a standard flat store pedestal.
As with all Plug&Cool Poly Pedestals, the 1m pedestal has better airflow than its metal counterpart and will last a lifetime due to its durability and resistance to rust
Plug&Cool fans are the original and best for cooling grain. They’ve been tried and trusted by farmers in the UK and abroad for more than 35 years and are proven to withstand the toughest conditions inside a grain store.
Protection
We’ve engineered a protective rain canopy fitted to the fan cowl. This reduces any water ingress and ultimately protects the electric motor, bringing longer life to the cooling fan.
Now farmers can have the confidence of leaving the fans outside in all weather conditions, all year round. We’ve also added a longer, 2m flex and plug to the fan, making it easier to connect to the wall socket on the outer wall of the barn.
With a five-year warranty, all Plug&Cool grain cooling fans are easy to clean and store at the end of harvest – making them an absolute must-have for any farmer upgrading or considering an underfloor cooling system.
